New Music School’s adult program is inclusive of private lessons and theory classes (optional). Our goal is to provide high-level beginning and continuing lessons for adult students. Theory and composition lessons are available in both private and group settings.

Getting Started - Lessons
To start lessons, NMS will set up an initial private lesson with a recommended faculty member. After the initial lesson, you will be given the opportunity to enroll with that teacher or have another initial lesson with a different faculty member.

Adult Theory Class
New Music School is delighted to offer Adults of all ages and experience levels the opportunity to participate in a music appreciation course, Adult Theory Class. This class, taught by music pedagogue Gerald Rizzer, strives to give students a general scope of the history and structure of music through the discussion and analysis of classical repertoire.
The class consists of 8 sessions, and will be held February 3rd through March 31st on Monday Evenings from 6:00-7:00pm. The cost is $200, and you can enroll by completing the form below!
